Wis-CON-sin

The mid-west is Joy's stomping grounds so even after leaving Minnesota she was in charge of our next destination.  This stop was Hayward, Wisconsin the area where Joy's dad grew up. We camped just outside town on Nelson Lake at the Sunrise Bay Campground.  We got a nice grassy spot and the neighbors were all friendly.

We arrived just in time for Lumber Jack World Championships. The show consisted of log chopping, pole climbing, boom run, and sawing.  Kathy delighted with each new contest while Joy enjoyed winning a Dinty-Moore bowl and spoon.  We witnessed world records being broken and marriage proposals being accepted.

What a great day spent just next door to the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and the world's largest Muskie.

We explored the streets of downtown and looked in the shops and even reminded one store owner that she should be carrying our friend's Christopher Locke's 99 Ways To Die: a Coloring Book for Adults.

You know we take all our friends and family with us where ever we travel so let us know if you need us to check out locations for your products or services.

Of course we stopped and smelled the wild flowers, this time at a cute little park with a dam that flowed into Smith Lake.
